Route 14

Our classic Leyland Titan PD2, was originally commissioned in to service in 1966 where it served as the number 14 bus in Eastbourne until 1981. At this point it was withdrawn and handed over to the Eastbourne preservation group. In 2003, the old route 14 bus was painted in red and sold to a company in Belgium where it would stay until 2007.

Returning to the UK and refurbished as a promotional vehicle on behalf of Adidas and Footlocker. The exterior was painted by graffiti artists as part of promomtional campaign. It was later later sold to the London Bus Export Co. in 2009 to be repainted and used as a merchandise bus by Saracens rugby team until today. With great pride and passion, we purchased and converted her in to a fully functional bar for all to admire and enjoy. Route 14 retains its history through its heritage, and truly is a spectacular bus bar providing a unique experience.

We offer a wide range of packages which are tailored to your needs, our polite, professional team have experience in event management and will be on hand to take your call.
Our fantastic bus Leyla is more than happy to drive all over the country, she may be slow, but she is reliable, because of this we would require a day prior to the event to set up.
Here at Route 14 we pride ourselves in having good relationships brewerys and suppliers all over the country, because of this we can serve the best selections of beers, ciders, ales, draughts, coctails and bottled refreshments as well as non alcoholic drinks. Let us know what you like and we shall provide/ do the rest.
We offer a range of packages and each event is different so we take logistics in to consideration. the basic charge for transport is £1.20 + vat per mile from our base. Dry hire packages with branding options are available or alternatively if you wish for us to provide a full service then please get in touch to discuss the best options for you, if you are planning a large event we would love to hear from you, typically we offer 20% of profit back to the organiser and we also make a donation to a local charity after each event.
Unfortunately not. Our bus has been refurbished in to a bar and lounge, Leyla can not be used to transport passengers as per licensing requirements.
Yes we do, our set up is self sufficient which means we provide and run all equiptment internally using mains or a generator as an input. We also have a brand new LED lighting system fitted on both decks allowing the perfect ambience for any event.
Yes of course, we offer dry hire packages for all types of events where clients can staff and stock the bus independently. This gives you the added bonus of being able to brand the bus with your own unique branding. The blank advertising spaces are on both sides and the back of the bus. This is great for corporate events and trade shows in particular. Here at R14 we are flexible in terms of what we can offer. Our team is on hand to discuss your event and needs as well as make booking as easy as possible.
Leyla is a big girl so please bear this in mind when planning, she measures in at a whopping 9.14 meters long, 2.44 meters wide and 4.28 meters high with an awning capable of stretching out a further 2.5 meters. We do asses each site before the events take place to ensure accessibility and carry out a risk assessment for each license.
